SAVE BOMB GIRLS FAN CAMPAIGN

I was apart of a small group of people to band together and form the Save Bomb Girls Fan Campaign. My position was graphics, which I started to do on my own early on because I loved the wartime propaganda. SBG was a great time in my life as I made many online friends at a time when my personal life was plagued with rejection and loss. We made such an impact we got the network to agree on a movie (as disappointing as it was). This show was, and still is, very dear to me I will always support it. If you see something below that peaks your interest, contact me. I'm always eager to have something made for you.

About the Show

The series was created by Michael MacLennan and Adrienne Mitchell and based on a concept by Debi Drennan and Maureen Jennings. It was filmed in Toronto with a converted furniture factory in Etobicoke standing for the Victory Munitions Factory.

Bomb Girls debuted in Canada on January 4, 2012 on Global TV. Originally intended to be a six-part drama mini-series, Global renewed the series for a second, 12-episode season in early 2012. Two seasons and a wrap-up TV movie have aired. Global will not be producing a third season or any further Bomb Girls movies.

Outside of Canada, the show began airing in the United States in September 2012 and has also been broadcast in the United Kingdom, Ireland, New Zealand and Finland.

The Victory Bandana Campaign

The point of our Victory Bandanas campaign was to deliver a large number of printed bandanas to the Global TV offices to demonstrate how much we believe this show deserves saving.

Our goal was to raise CDN$4,000 by May 10 to send a total of 1,000 Victory Bandanas to Global. That target was reached two days before the deadline! The 1,000 bandanas went into production in mid-May, and have been sent to Global TV. We have confirmation that the bandanas arrived at the end of May, and Global TV is evaluating what charity they could give them to.

However, that the fundraising didn’t stop there. Every additional dollar raised would be donated to the Ajax Bomb Girls Legacy Campaign charity.

V-Mail Book Campaign

Save Bomb Girls presents… V-MAIL – a huge online collection of comments! V-MAIL, short for Victory Mail, was a method used in WW II for soldier correspondence. Team Save Bomb Girls have taken inspiration from this idea and have gathered as many comments about the show as we could find, combining them all in one place, and thus create a huge online collection! This was aimed at not only showing other networks that picking up the show would be a great investment, but also to represent a prominent ongoing legacy of Bomb Girls.

10,000 comments with the help of people from the homefront!

All the fans had to do was voice their opinion about the show, using several different channels such as Facebook, Twitter and email.

Miscellaneous Graphics

Our little fan campaign was so big, we even had a shout out on the Canadian news show, The National!
